For Dia de los Muertos, members of the Spanish National Honor Society participated in an event to serve the community. They members made flower arrangements for tombstones and added a stuffed animal to some arrangements for the tombstones of children.

Dia de los Muertos was celebrated on November 1st and 2nd. The first day celebrated infants and children who have died. The second day was in honor of adults who have passed away.

“We decided to participate because it’s part of our culture and a tradition in Mexico,” SNHS club sponsor, Mrs Guerra said.

Some students like junior Anna Rodriguez enjoyed taking part in this tradition.

“It was a very special event to attend and it made me feel happy to keep this tradition going on,” SNHS member anna said.

Mrs. Guerra felt the same.
