The 10th annual Hope on the Run: Estrella’s House project was held last week. This event not only paid tribute to the life of Estrella Rojas who was a victim of child abuse, but also served as an act for giving back.

During this event, students and teachers collected donations of toys, hygiene items, clothes, and other essentials needs for Estrella’s House, a child advocacy center. The center was named in Estrella Rojas’ honor.

“I donated a Lego box and a Barbie doll. It made me feel great to be able to donate and bring joy,” senior, Christian Reyes said.

Corporal Martinez organized the event and took inventory of the donations.

“We got donations for newborns all the way to 18 years of age of both genders,” Martinez said.  ”We do this especially during Christmas time to make them feel comfortable during this time.”
