Sixteen BPA students attended a leadership conference at Sharyland Pioneer High School two weeks ago.
“We were there for six hours, and we went to different sessions,” senior Rebecca Hernandez said.”We focused on team bonding skills and ways to become a leader in the organization.”
In addition to team bonding skills, students were able attend sessions to help with upcoming competitions.
“There were a lot of sessions in regards to competition events that compete at the regional, state, and national levels as well as the attire that they should wear to the competition which is business professional attire,” BPA Sponsor, Mrs.Karla Salinas said.
Attending these sessions helped the students learn what BPA was all about.
“I felt that it was important to attend the conference,” senior Yamileth Hernandez said. ”Because it’s important to meet other people from BPA that are from other schools, and it’s important to get a feel for what BPA is.”
