On May 15, the football players played against each other at Richard Flores Stadium and showed the fans that the upcoming teams are preparing for the fall season.

The preparation for the spring game included the players and coaches practicing for hours after school.The coaches were training for the upcoming season.

“We practice for 2 to 3 hours on plays and executions. We like to perfect the executions as much as possible so once the fall arrives we end up victorious,’’ junior Hearlin Benavidez, said.

“The athletes demonstrated their strengths and teamwork to achieve the same goal, but that day it was different playing against your own teammates for the same goal instead of all of us working together, ” Benavidez said.

The red team won the game with the final score being 19 to 9.Touchdowns scored by   Benavidez and sophomore Bryan Tejada helping the team win overall.

“Once I scored I felt ecstatic. It felt like all the hard work we put in during the week paid off. I know I made the team and my coaches proud,” sophomore Adrian Garza, said.
