The boys soccer team defeated the PSJA Bears to clinch the second seed in the playoff bracket. The boys won 7-1.

Players like Adrian Taboada wanted to make sure he put his teammates in goal scoring positions.

“We had to take advantage of opportunities that came our way,” Taboada said. “We came in with a plan to attack early and be on them the whole game.”

One plan of attack was to focus on the other team’s weaknesses.

“They were missing players, so we took that into consideration and played tougher, “ Adviel Garza said.

Sophomore player Tovar was happy with the team’s performance.

“I’m proud of how we played,” Luis Tovar said. “ We just need to keep that momentum for the playoffs.”

The boys soccer team lost the second round of playoffs against Laredo United, 0-3.
