The Girl’s Cross Country team advanced to Regionals by placing 2nd as a team at their District Meet at Ebony Hills Golf Course earlier this month where they competed against eight other schools from the region. 

“We wanted to make Regionals as a team and we did that; we accomplished a goal we set,” Coach Torre-Salinas said. 

However, accomplishing this goal was not only important for the coach, but for the girls as well. 

“Our team made it to Regionals and we hadn’t made it since our freshman year,” senior Ameline Garza said. 

 Making it to Regionals was significant to the Seniors because it is their last year competing in high school. 

“Since this is our last year, we wanted to give it all that we had,” Senior Mia Guillen said.
