Senior Adriana Cruz is a cross country veteran, she began running her sophomore year and has done well every year she ran. Adriana ran at the district competition and got fourth out of ten which automatically qualified her to run regionals on October 21st in Corpus Christi, Texas.

 “It felt good to run for my school, I only wish that all of the team could’ve been there too,”Adriana said.

Adriana practiced for many hours to prepare herself for one of the biggest competition of the season.m Once it came to the day of regionals she put forth her all when running the 5K (3.1 miles) in 19-20 minutes.

”Eating healthy and running the same amount at practice helped me do well at the competition,” said Adriana.

She has been to regionals since her sophomore year so she was aware of what she had to do to go to regionals and do well at district. Adriana knew that even  if her cross country family was not able to go with her they would be cheering her on from wherever they were. No matter how she did they would be proud of her.

It’s Adriana’s last year competing in High School.

“It will always be unforgettable” Adriana said.
