Two weeks ago, JROTC members collaborated with military personnel to host a “Mini Boot Camp” for children in the community.

“I liked the motivation from my high school cadets to come out on a Saturday morning and show the younger kids a little bit about what they do,” Major Noyola said.

Not only was the Major impressed with her students, but the JROTC cadets enjoyed this experience.

“I really liked working with the little kids,” junior Didi Abdala said. “I learned how to cooperate with the youngsters, and how to be patient.”

Junior Caridad Carrizales felt this was a way to benefit the younger ones in the community.

“It benefited them physically and mentally because we tried to push them to do better,” Carrizales said.

This event served as a fundraiser for the program.
