Last month, the Girls Varsity Cross Country team placed first at the meet in Port Isabel. 

“Our goal was to really push through any pain that we felt, and through the hardships with the weather and the conditions, and to see where we were before our district meet,” sophomore, Kaylie Rawlings said.

Senior Ava Noyola felt that they were prepared for this type of meet.

“I definitely feel that my team and I were prepared for the race. We’ve worked really hard,” Noyola said.
