April 26th & 27th three members of the Track team went to the regional competition in San Antonio. Upperclassmen, Jorge Ayala, Briana Sanchez, and Mia Noyola qualified in their respective events.

“I accomplished one of my main goals,” junior Briana Sanchez said. “I had to overcome the pressure that I put on myself in trying to be the best because I doubted myself for so long.”

For the two students this was there last year of competition as a Bobcat.

“I was happy of the marks and the records that I set this year,” senior, Jorge Ayala said. “ I had to get over some obstacles like my knee surgery, but my focus was still on track.”

It was this type of determination that fueled all three participants.

“My passion to race is what motivated me. It was my last year and I made it the best I could. I accomplished so much more that I thought i could,” senior Mia Noyola said.

Their coaches are very proud of their accomplishments.

“I am extremely proud of what the students accomplished; they ended the season on a good note,” Asst. Girls Track Coach, Mrs. Sutton.
