On March 2nd, the girls Powerlifting team competed at Regionals where seven of the 11 qualified to compete at the State Meet.

“I feel very happy,” senior Aysha Lopez said. “I tried to accomplish way more than what I had from District to Regionals. I got second place.”

The girls had been practicing hard to meet their goals and fulfil their objective.

“Our coaches were always pushing us to where we wanted to be and with hard work and dedication we feel proud of where we were,” junior Mitzi De La Cruz said.

The girls competed at the State Meet over Spring Break.
