Last month, the girls basketball team advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. To get there the girls faced Brownsville Hanna, PSJA North and Harlingen High in their playoff run.

“They worked really hard in practice, and it definitely showed on the court,” Assistant Basketball Coach Alvarado said.

Their skill and confidence was displayed on the court.

”We were confident, so coming out and showing up showed a lot,” senior Jenessah Santamaria said. “We had injuries in the beginning of the season and getting to this point together was really good.”

These things helped the girls unite.
