The Girls Cross Country team ran their last race of the season at the Regional meet in Corpus Christi, Oct.22. They competed against 25 other teams in the state.

“I was actually really happy with how the girls finished. They all ran their best times, so if we’re gonna end on a good note, that’s exactly what they did,” Girls Head Cross Country Coach Erin Suttin said.

The girls trained from early summer until October to reach this race.

           “We prepared mentally and all we thought about was staying strong,” senior Yahaira Echavarria said.  “Because if not, there goes your race.”

The girls stayed strong to push each other to their highest potential.

“We pushed each other to the limit, and we did really great as a team,” senior  Klarissa Salinas said.
