On Friday, October 12 both the Junior Varsity and Varsity Cross Country girls went to compete  at their district meet. Varsity earned second place and JV earned first place.

“My nerves were something that I had to overcome, ” Senior Varsity Cross Country member Laura Alvarado said. “I was really proud of what my team and I achieved.”

Members from both teams felt as if they had reached their goals.

“After the race, I felt really excited because we had won first place in district. I felt a sense of accomplishment because of the goals that my team and I had in mind,”Junior Varsity Cross Country member, Erandy Gama said.

The teams were recognized the same afternoon at a pep rally.

“It was a one of a kind experience,”Junior Varsity Cross Country member, Jackie Medina said.
