National Honor Society (NHS) and Key Club sponsor Mrs Kendra De La Garza is the main sponsor for the annual toy drive. De La Garza and her NHS and Key Club students had collected toys this december that were donated to kids in need at our local elementary schools yesterday.

De La Garza  has had decided to do the toy drive because she wanted something that would target children.

“We wanted to target children,” said NHS and key club sponsor Kendra De La Garza.

When De la Garza originally started the toy drive  for children she thought it would be a one time thing. She never thought it would be what it is today

“I thought it was a one time thing,” said De La Garza       

Because of the success of the past toy drives, this year she expected to give toys to at least fifty children. More were added because of the overwhelming amount of donations.
